Rumble Roo Senior Travel Baseball Team Makes Debut in Tamworth

The newly formed Senior Travel Team, the Rumble Roos, sister club of the West Boomers Baseball club made their long-awaited tournament debut at the Tamworth Invitational Baseball Carnival over the long June weekend.

Decked out in new gear supplied by @Blackchrome Diamond sports, the senior team looked the part. And despite being bumped up to B Grade, the Roos held their own against much younger opponents to qualify for the semi-finals and gave the #1 seed, and eventual Silver medallists, quite a scare in the knock-out game.

The Rumble Roos are a Senior Baseball Travel Team dedicated to competing in tournament baseball, including Masters Games within Australia and abroad. A sister club to the Wests Boomers Baseball Club, the Rumble Roos aim is to bring together like-minded players, young and old from all around Australia to play competitive tournament travel baseball.

The debut roster in Tamworth included coach Regan Strutt, Mike Aylward, Troy Warner, Rick Burke, Leigh Berwick, Adam Daniels, Frederico Anderson, Thomas Martin, Barry Burke, Rusty Sheffield, Andrew McKinnel, Jason Cameron, Alan Gelsthorpe, Mitchil Mann, and Brendan McFarlane.

Next up? The Roos have their sights set on the Pan Pacific Games (Gold Coast) in Nov 2022, Tamworth in June 2023, and the MSBL World Series in Phoenix, AZ, USA in October 2023. Follow the Roos on Facebook @rumbleroos to find out about upcoming tournaments
