Boomers teams victorious in Grand Finals

Topping off another excellent season for Junior Boomers teams throughout the RHBL competition, we are pleased to announce 2 Major Premiership winning teams, the Wests Boomers Little League Rookie Live Pirates and the Wests Boomers Little League Senior Division 2 team, coached by Cain Sarah and Dan Hoff respectively.

The Pirates were the ultimate victors on the day over a tough North Ryde team, after going through the regular season with an impressive win-loss ratio. The Pirates came back from 3-1 down going into the bottom of the final innings, piling on 5 runs in their last at bat to win 6-3 at Glover St.

LL Senior Div 2 also won through on the day against Kissing Point out at Auluba Field of Dreams.

Go Boomers!!!

It is with much sadness that we advise the passing of John Lee, former President and Life Member of Wests Boomers Baseball Club.

John passed away early this Monday 10 October.

John was a huge worker for the cause of baseball, firstly with his beloved club the West Boomers Baseball Club where he served in many roles, and for a number of years an active executive committee member of the PCBL, a member of the PCBL Judiciary Committee and an active Umpire.

It is likely that many in the baseball community would have come across John, and always would have received nothing but his best.

John will be hugely missed.

The memorial service for John will be held this Friday 14 October at 10:15 am at the Northern Suburbs Memorial Gardens and Crematorium, 199 Dehli Road, North Ryde.

Vale John Lee - your memory will never fade.
